Korcula

We had a room and kitchenette in a very old building in the middle of the old town.  We watched a lovely sunset from the seafront. Had an average meal with poor service although this pizzeria was recommended in the Rough Guide!

Tuesday 13 May.  Had a very relaxing day exploring Korcula old town and the waterfronts.  We like Korcula. Tonight we had a lovely evening meal at the Adio Mare retaurant, also recommended by the Rough Guide.  We had the local speciality, Korculanska Pastricada (braised beef in red wine and prune and potato dumplings). It was delicious.

Wed 14 May. A very early start to catch the 6am catamaran (but only 100yds away from our accommodation) to Hvar island. It had rained during the night and was still raining as we boarded the catamaran. These catamarans are big, spacious and comfortable although can be a bit bumpy at speed.
